The Lifeguard Work & Travel Program provides eligible participants with the opportunity to work legally as certified lifeguards in the United States during the summer season as part of a structured cultural exchange experience.
SNOW Work & Travel works in partnership with designated U.S. sponsors and approved host employers to recruit, prepare, and support lifeguard candidates throughout the entire process.
Program Overview
Participants may be placed at:
•Water parks
•Hotels and resorts
•Community and municipal pools
•Other approved aquatic facilities
The program combines professional training, international work experience, and personal development.
Swimming Ability & Training Support
You do NOT need to be a strong swimmer to apply.
SNOW offers structured swim training programs designed to:
•Teach non-swimmers how to swim confidently
•Improve technique, endurance, and water confidence
•Prepare candidates to meet lifeguard certification swim standards
Applicants who are unable to swim or have limited swimming ability may enroll in our beginner swim training program before progressing to full lifeguard training.
Our goal is to develop candidates from the ground up, provided they demonstrate commitment, discipline, and willingness to learn.
Lifeguard Training & Certification
Once swim readiness is achieved, candidates progress to lifeguard training and certification, which includes:
•Water rescue techniques
•CPR, First Aid, and AED use
•Emergency response and surveillance
•Pool and facility safety procedures
•Professional responsibility and teamwork
Training is delivered by qualified instructors and follows recognized international lifeguard standards
